Cadence of Hyrule will launch for Nintendo Switch this June. The game is a crossover between The Legend of Zelda and Brace Yourself's roguelike rhythm game Crypt of the NecroDancer.

A new video presentation on Nintendo's official Japanese YouTube account confirms this news. The Indie World presentation showcases some of the indie games coming to Nintendo Switch soon. At around the 6:57 mark in the video, Cadence of Hyrule gets some screen time. The conclusion of the game's segment shows a June 2019 release date. In addition, the official website's source code lists a release date of June 20th. Check out the Indie World video for yourself below (note: it's in Japanese).

Originally, the source code for the official Cadence of Hyrule website listed a May 30th date for release. This was updated recently, which tells us either that the May date was a mistake or the game was quietly internally delayed. Either way, it's looking likely eager fans can expect the game to land on June 20th, although Nintendo hasn't officially confirmed this yet. We're likely to get a concrete release date for Cadence of Hyrule during Nintendo's upcoming not-quite-an-E3 presentation.

Cadence of Hyrule is a rhythm-based roguelike game for Nintendo Switch. It's based on both The Legend of Zelda and Crypt of the NecroDancer and will be developed by NecroDancer dev Brace Yourself Games. The game fuses the rhythm-centric gameplay of the latter with the settings and aesthetic of the former. Players will explore randomly generated overworlds and dungeons as either Link or Princess Zelda. There will be 25 remixed Legend of Zelda tunes to enjoy, as well as plenty of returning enemies and weapons from the Zelda series. Cadence of Hyrule will also support two players via Joy-Con play.
