It's only been a few days since Capcom said they'd support the Switch following Ultra Street Fighter II's surprising success. However, true to their word, they've announced Switch ports of Resident Evil Revelations and Resident Evil Revelations 2 today. On top of that, they announced the release date for the upcoming PlayStation 4 and Xbox One ports of the first Revelations.

Resident Evil Revelations

At the start of his blog post, Capcom employee Kellen announced that Resident Evil Revelations will release on August 29th. This remaster is coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 for $19.99. Resident Evil Revelations will also include all DLC for the game, and run at 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second.

Resident Evil Revelations joins a large number of Resident Evil titles on both platforms. However, it's returning to Nintendo alongside a new title for the company.

While Resident Evil Revelations originated on the 3DS and was released on the Wii U, Revelations 2 was never released on a Nintendo console. Both games are coming in "late 2017" for the Nintendo Switch. Like the original, Revelations 2 will come with all of its DLC on the Switch version. Capcom didn't give any spec details, but there are pricing details. It's worth noting that gameplay from both games in the trailer runs at 60fps.

Both Revelations and Revelations 2 will be on the eShop for $19.99 each. However, there will also be a semi-physical release. What I mean is that Capcom has announced the Resident Evil Revelations Collection for the Switch as well. This collection will cost $39.99. It will have a physical cart of the original Resident Evil Revelations alongside a digital download code for Revelations 2.

Like other releases of the game, the original Revelations will only have solo or online co-op for its Raid Mode. Revelations 2 will have solo or local multiplayer in its campaign mode. However, it will feature solo, local or online co-op for its Raid Mode.

We'll be sure to keep you updated with Resident Evil Revelations Switch's release date information as we receive it.
