Though it may only be a remake, Resident Evil 2 is pulling in gamers just like it did back in 1998 on the PlayStation 1.
According to United Kingdom Interactive Entertainment (UKIE,) Capcom’s latest has topped the All Formats Chart, beating out New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe and Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown regarding physical sales in the UK for the week ending January 26th. While we’re just starting 2019, Resident Evil 2 is the biggest launch of the year so far, and “Capcom’s biggest launch since Resident Evil 7: Biohazard exactly two years ago,” reads the UKIE blog post.
Red Dead Redemption 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 are back in the top 3, mostly reclaiming their spots from the end of 2018. The top 10 titles are as follows:
- Resident Evil 2
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
- New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
- FIFA 19
- Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown
