Remedy, the creators of games like Alan WakeMax Payne and the recently released Quantum Break, have announced that their unrevealed game carrying the codename P7 will be published by 505 Games. This news comes from a press release posted on Remedy’s official website.

Digital Bros S.p.A. (DIB:IM), a digital entertainment company listed in the Star segment of the Milan Stock Exchange, through its subsidiary 505 Games S.p.A., announces today that it has entered a new worldwide PC and console publishing agreement with Remedy Entertainment Ltd. for a brand new game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, including Steam, across both digital and retail versions.

The group has done more than just agreeing to publish Remedy’s next game, they’ve also contributed a hefty €7.75 million to the project’s development. In exchange for the monetary contribution and the worldwide publishing of P7, 505 Games will get a 45% royalty on net sales generated by P7 when it sees the light of day.

It is a sign of how far 505 Games has come that we are now in a position to partner with such a talented development studio as Remedy Entertainment.

Our mutual life-stages, ambitions and business objectives are actually very well-aligned and we are excited to enter into what feels like a very natural partnership. The agreement fits perfectly with our strategy of continuous improvement of the quality and the potential returns of our portfolio.

Raffaele Galante, CEO of Digital Bros

The post also divulges some new, albeit vague, info about the unannounced game, stating that P7 will be a “cinematic third-person action game set in a new Remedy-created universe”. According to the press release, P7 will have the “deepest” mechanics we’ve seen so far from the Finnish developer. The game is currently being developed with Northlight technology, a proprietary in-house engine created by Remedy. This engine was also used to develop Quantum Break. If you want to read more on the engine you can do so by going here.

505 Games brings into this partnership experience and competences that help us successfully make this vision become reality together. Remedy is also investing in P7 and is deeply committed to creating an unique gaming experience that will keep the players engaged and playing for a long time to come. We are really excited to embark on this journey with 505 Games.

I've been playing games since I was just barely able to walk, and I never really stopped playing them. When I'm not fulfilling my duties as senior staff writer and tech reviewer, I'm either working on music, producing one of two podcasts or doing freelance work.
