E3 2015 SQUAREENIX

The Square Enix E3 2015 Press Conference is over. Check out below for all the announcements, details, and more.

Just Cause 3

Just Cause 3 started off the show with a montage of craziness that Just Cause 2 made the franchise known for. Plenty of explosions and over the top action for everyone to enjoy. The facts that Sqaure Enix ran before the conference revealed C4 and grenades will be in the game, as well as a wingsuit.

Roland Lesterlin came up to talk about the game, saying the grapple hook has been upgraded, a wingsuit added, and a lot of new featured will be thrown into what he promises to be a massive world, 400 square miles.

They showed off a trailer which showed more of the over the top gameplay we all know. There is a lot of environment destruction, over 80 vehicles, updated parachute, and more.

Just Cause 3 will be released December 1st 2015, on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Square Enix Collective

This is an initiative to get fans to vote on projects they would like to see. Not much else was said about it. It seems to be sort of like a Steam Greenlight program ran by Square Enix.

NieR

A new game was shown off by Platinum Games. So far it is early in development and what they showed off was a series of artwork. It has a unique look, slike a mix between sci fi, fantasy, and some post apocalyptic looks. They promised more info Fall of 2015. It seems to be an exclusive to Playstation 4.

Platinum Games was approached to lend strength to the NieR franchise, namely the type of action and combat Platinum has become known for. He mentioned that it still is a ways off.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Lara Croft of course gets some screen time, as we see her struggling in the mountain snow, harvesting a deer carcass for meat. We also got a glimpse at a lot of different environments, from a jungle to a desert. Lara seems to be traveling a bit more than the previous game. Rise of the Tomb Raider comes out November 10, 2015.

A behind the scenes look shows off how they went about designing Lara, talking about details, getting to the specifics like a snowflake landing on an eye lash. Scars from the last game will appear in Rise of the Tomb Raider. They are committed to making her look realistic and animate realistically as well.

Lara Craft Go

Much like Hitman Go, Square Enix has developed a Tomb Raider game for mobile with a similar concept, Lara Croft Go. This is a turn-based game set in a "long forgotten world."  They didn't offer more details, but one would assume it shares something with Hitman Go.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

They showed the same trailer revealed yesterday and said more info would be coming this Winter. They also said it would first be coming on Playstation 4. They said they are only announcing the remake for now and to stay tuned for more information into the future.

They are still going to bring the PC version of Final Fantasy VII to PS4 sometime in winter. They are also bringing it to iOS sometime later this year as well.

Kingdom Hearts Unchained

They showed a trailer for a new mobile Kingdom Hearts game that has whole new characters interacting with others in the series. It seems to be a mix of turn based and hack and slash action. This depicts a story that leads into Kingdom Hearts III.

Kingdom Hearts III

They started off with a video message from some producers at Disney. Tangled will be coming to Kingdom Hearts. They also promised to hear about some more soon.

They then launched into a trailer of the game showing off some cut scenes setting up the story. They also showed some gameplay in what seems to be a massive world, much larger than anything in previous titles. We got a glimpse into what the Tangled world would look like with a view at the twoer.

Also, Sora seems to not be stuck with just a keyblade anymore, but can use a gun to shoot at enemies, though this seemed to be an ability rather than a weapon. They showed off a ton of new abilities based on theme park rides and even a chariot running through the air.

World of Final Fantasy

They showed off a new trailer after the reveal yesterday at the Sony conference. It is based around two siblings traversing a new Final Fantasy world.  You join forces with familiar characters. There is still little indication on what the game will be exactly, but we can expect to see it sometime in 2016.

The director of the game took the stage next to talk about how to get more people interested in Final Fantasy. They want to make a game everyone can play with unique visuals. They want a game that small children can share with their parents and play. They want to create a sense of running around in a world of toys.

The power of your party depends on a new mechanic of towering, where placing certain characters on top of other monsters/characters will change how effective they are and your success will depend largely on that.

Hitman

They say that this game will set a foundation for the future of the Hitman series. They talk about having a target become available for 48 hours only and having only one chance to take out the target. You will go around the world where every NPC has a name and is detailed.

Then they showed off a trailer detailing the game. It was cinematic setting up a story where the key target seems to be the leader of a secret international spy ring. It doesn't appear that he is the main target, but just one of many. It seems to be centered around missions, nothing overarching. There is a big emphasis on preparation, showing many ways an assassination can be done and emphasizing that some targets will only be around for a limited amount of time.

It will be released December 8th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Star Ocean Integrity and Faithlessness

They showed off a trailer showing the history of Star Ocean and giving brief summaries into each game's story. Then they went into a gameplay trailer after a brief discussion of development.

The trailer showed plenty of areas to explore and combat with a wide variety of monsters. It will be coming to North America and Europe in 2016 and Winter of 2015 in Japan. Seamless is the key word here as they want to make it a seamless transition from exploration to combat and vice versa, as well as in other areas of design. Part of this is in cut scenes that are seamlessly transitioned to, but they will also have the traditional static ones as well.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

This will be made on a new engine, allowing the world to "come to life." It will take place two years after Human Revolution, following Adam Jensen. The augmented people are now outcasts in the world and forced into ghettos. He is now a part of an organization to stop terrorist attacks all over the world. He is also a double agent to investigate the illuminati who he believes run that organization.

They claim that choices will change how the game is played and how the story unfolds. Your actions will determine the end of the game/story. They want Mankind Divided to be one of the best action RPGs out there.

They then showed off an in-game trailer setting up the story of augmented people being outcast. We also got a glimpse into that organization and various parts of a massive city. A little gameplay was shown off, giving us a glimpse into some of the tools Jensen can use to get by with stealth and take down enemies.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be an Early 2016 release on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Final Fantasy Portal App

This has all of the information you would ever want from Final Fantasy. What that is exactly wasn't said.

Tokyo RPG Factory

A new studio, Tokyo RPG Factory, was announced dedicated to creating Japanese RPGs. They showed off some art for a new console RPG and a completely new IP.  IT is called Project Setsuna at this point and the game is in development. They don't have many details yet, but we can expect it in 2016.
