Rainbow 6 Siege fans who are eagerly awaiting the new year of content that Ubisoft has planned for them now have a means by which to show their enthusiasm and support for one of the most unique first-person shooters on the market. Starting today, you can purchase the Rainbow 6 Siege Year 3 Season Pass which will give you access to all of the Year 3 Operators a week in advance without having to grind for credits or anything of the sort. For $30, the Season Pass seems a bit pricey, but to sweeten the deal, Ubisoft is attaching a few bonuses to the Season Pass so that even if you end up hating every single one of the Year 3 Operators, you're not going home empty-handed.

Perhaps the most enticing of these aforementioned bonuses is a set of VIP perks. In addition to a 10% discount to in-game shop items (cosmetics, weapon skins, etc.), you also get a 5% Renown (in-game credits to buy weapon attachments and cosmetic items) boost and a 0.3% Alpha Pack Boost, which basically translates to a marginally higher chance at an occasional free random cosmetic item. You also get eight exclusive headgears and uniforms, a weapon charm (cosmetic item), and 600 Rainbow Six Credits (premium currency used to unlock cosmetic items or Operators). If you purchase the Season Pass before March 5, 2018, you also get the Damascus Steel Signature weapon skin.

Generally speaking, Rainbow 6 Siege's Season Passes offer a fairly decent deal. Even if you don't care for the cosmetic items, getting eight new Operators without having to invest a significant amount of time in grinding Renown is rather enticing. Of course, Ubisoft could simply reduce the in-game price tag of the new Operators, but that is a discussion for another time. There is also the possibility that, as was the case with Operation Health earlier this year, Ubisoft may encounter some problems with the game which will affect the release dates of certain Operators, so it may be a good idea to keep that in mind before you spend money on the Season Pass.
