Quantum Rush Hype?

Past TechRaptor Authors / December 2, 2013 at 8:40 PM / Gaming, Opinions

Wow! Quantum Rush is….wow! Amazing! Outstanding! Oh… sorry guys. I got a little ahead of myself. Let’s talk about Quantum Rush, shall we? Hold on, do any of you people reading this article have a damn clue of what I’m talking about? I doubt it, but hey, I’m not here to judge. What a minute? Is that what I’m supposed to be doing. Whatever. I don’t care.  Anyway, for all those who don’t know what Quantum Rush is (probably a majority of you. Like I said, I’m not here to judge, I’m just saying.), Quantum Rush is a online, free-to-play, futuristic racing, PC game that is currently in development by the studio of Game Art Studio (you can follow them on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter) and has the same mechanics as of F-Zero (not entirely like F-Zero but you know what I mean). From what I have saw of the Pre-Alpha Quantum Rush videos, the game looks absolutely amazing. The graphics are outstanding. The gameplay looks in awesome form. My jaw, literally, dropped when I saw those Pre-Alpha videos. And let me remind you that this was from an observation of a video. Not the actual game.

What is the point I’m trying to make? Before reading this article, did you even knew that there was a online racing game currently in development called Quantum Rush? If you said no, you just proved my point. Quantum Rush is an amazing game to gaze upon and play at the same time, but it doesn’t get any recognition whatsoever! Not even the most up-to-date gamer will know what Quantum Rush is or even heard of it! The staff at Game Art Studio pour their hearts out into creating Quantum Rush and they don’t even get the slightest damn respect for it! Not even a tiny bit! None! No recognition or respect!

What am I talking about? Let me tell you. When I first came across Gameartstudio on YouTube and their videos about Quantum Rush, I thought, “This is an awesome game! Games Radar should have the latest info on this!” I went over to Games Radar and searched Quantum Rush. No results. I went to Game Informer. No results. GameFaqs. No results. I even searched on Machinima’s and Polaris’ page on YouTube. No damn results! For God’a sake! Really?!? No results! Quantum Rush is an actual game in development and for top gaming websites who don’t even know it’s real  thing? That’s a poor job by them. I doubt even any of those websites that I mentioned know a thing about Quantum Rush (granted that people that work for any of those websites do know what Quantum Rush is and they don’t write an article about it). The hype for this game is pathetic and it’s not the game’s fault. It’s the gamers’ fault who choose to ignore games like Quantum Rush. Those gamer who work on gaming websites and those who just browse around the internet looking for new games but they pass up a bunch of those games.

Am I wrong? When was the last time you went to a site that had free games and you played the first game that came to the screen just because it was for the hell of it? If there wasn’t a last time, then you proved my point for a second time. Whenever someone goes onto a gaming site full of free games, that someone only plays the most popular game. This situation is no different from what I’m talking about with Quantum Rush. Quantum Rush is free to play when it comes out and there is not even the slightest hype for it. It’s sad to think that but it’s true.

Quantum Rush won’t be out for probably another couple of months, as far as I’m aware. However, Game Art Studio has been sending out invitations to racing gamers out there on YouTube (probably Facebook and Twitter as well) to participate in the closed beta they are conducting this month of December. Once the closed beta starts, Game Art Studio will send out the limited beta keys for all the recipients of the invitations so they can engage in the closed beta. I was one of the lucky ones to receive the invitation, which is sadly how I found Quantum Rush in the first place. I now wonder how many great games there are out there? I guess if you probably ask them before the beta starts, they would accept your request but I’m speaking too much.

Bottom line, Quantum Rush, in my opinion, is going to be one of the best games of next year but, the hype for it is not good. Quantum Rush deserves a little more recognition from gaming pros like Games Radar, Game Informer or Machinima, to name a few. If Quantum Rush gets more hype than it’s getting right now, those big time gaming websites and channels will have to take notice. I’m not trying to make waves or create a brutal war with these websites and channels, but next time you’re drooling over the most hyped games made by big video game companies like Activision or Sony, to name a few, tap on their shoulder and tell them to look at this other game that just deserves as much recognition as those big video games made by big video game companies (Not Candy Crush, though. For the sake of God in Almighty Heaven, not Candy Crush!).  Quantum Rush is a video game worth getting hyped up for. I mean, if the creators of the video game invites people into a closed beta just to test out the game, then it has to be great. You should get hyped up for Quantum Rush! I guarantee that you will have a blast with it when it is out!
