ps4 update 2.0

The newly released Ps4 firmware update 2.0 has been causing all sorts of problems for users. According to posts on NeoGaf and the PlayStation Blog, the main problem people are describing is not being able to wake a PS4 from rest mode, or being unable to connect to PSN at all.

There is apparently a workaround to the rest mode soft brick, according to one NeoGaf user. Unplugging the system and waiting 20 seconds will supposedly reboot the system. There is no workaround for the PSN disconnects however.

In a statement provided to www.videogamer.com, Sony had the following to say on the matter:

"We are aware of issues reported by some PS4 users following the release of PS4's latest system software update, v2.00. We are investigating these issues and will provide an update as soon as we have more information.

The above video shows exactly what update 2.0 has to offer. While not the biggest update in the world, it'd certainly be nice if it worked, eh?

Hopefully it won't take too long to at least get the PSN bug figured out, which is probably the more annoying of the two. There's no word yet on what exactly is causing the major bugs. I'll update the article as soon as Sony updates us on the matter.
