Production Line, the car-manufacturing simulator from Democracy devs Positech Games, is now live on Steam and GOG. This game operates on a relatively straightforward premise: try to build out a factory to produce the best cars on the market. It sounds simple enough, but there are a lot of intricate mechanics involved in the process. Players will have to design factories, research new parts, market their vehicles, and keep pace with the ever-expanding competition.

An amusing Production Line official release trailer has come out to accompany the announcement on the game's official website. Give it a look!

The blog post about the game's release mainly talks about the sheer amount of work that went into the game. Positech Games spent well over 3 years putting this game together and the sole developer Cliff "Cliffski" Harris is quite keen on taking a little break after all this work. The studio is also hard at work overseeing the development of Democracy 4 which was handed off to Jeff Sheen of Stargazy Studios.

Although Mr. Harris will be taking a short break, this won't be the end of development for the game. He states that there are still some things he'd like to add to the game, so it seems like players can expect at least a little post-launch content for this game.

If Production Line sounds like the kind of game you'd enjoy, you can pick it up for yourself right now for PC,on Steam, the Humble Store, or GOG at the price of $24.99 or your regional equivalent. You can also buy it from a widget on the game's official website.

Disclosure: GOG and Humble Bundle work with TechRaptor for affiliate partnership, and TechRaptor earns a small commission off purchases made from some links in this article. In addition, GOG provides a monthly giveaway to our Pack Hunter members.
