UPDATE: EA have now officially announced the release date as November 17, 2015. The original story can be read below.

A release date for the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront has been found in the source code of the official website for the game. The release date found is November 17, 2015.

The text reads :

The latest news and updates for Star Wars Battlefront. Available November 17, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Videogamer managed to grab a screencap before it was removed. The release date seems plausible as it would launch just before Star Wars: Episode VII is released and would also be in line with the "holiday 2015" time frame already given by EA. November 17 would fall on a Tuesday. EA have not confirmed the date but may share more info on a release date later today.

There has also been a new image released that gives an impression on how the game will look. The teaser image has a Stormtrooper on a speeder bike on what looks the forest moon of Endor.

Along with this, at the end of the Star Wars: Episode VII trailer we see a brief glimpse of some Battlefront footage. There was some speculation as to whether this was in-game or CGI. The game's lead level designer, Dennis Brännvall, however has confirmed that it is in fact in-game footage. He has said on his twitter "I'm going to answer a question in advance: Yes, that is actually what the game looks like." and "That's not CGI."

Battlefront is being developed by DICE who most recently are best known for developing the Battlefield games. Officialy the release date is still "holiday 2015" for the PS4 Xbox One and PC.

At 10:30 AM PT, April 17 (6:30 PM UK time) EA will be showing the debut trailer for Star Wars: Battlefront. A countdown along with a Stormtrooper image can be seen on the Battlefront website.

Be sure to keep an eye on TechRaptor for the debut trailer later today.
