Not even two months after the July 6th launch of Pokemon GO, the game has already managed to gain more than $440 million in gross worldwide revenue across both platforms’ app stores. SensorTower reports that Niantic’s net revenue is up more than $308 million, $100 million more than back on August 5th.

SensorTower’s “Store Intelligence” program showed Pokemon GO‘s earnings compared to five major Hollywood movie releases from the same time period. From the chart provided above by SensorTower, the game made more money than movies such as Ghostbusters, Star Trek Beyond, and Warcraft, without much paid advertising.

This plays into the idea that people are going to the movies as much as they used to, but are still willing to pay for in-game items like Pokecoins.

While the game doesn’t hold the spot of #1 grossing app in every country, it still manages to earn more than $4 million in worldwide net revenue every day. The game has also yet to be released in China and India, which would certainly raise those figures.

Of course, as should be expected from any viral game, global installs of Pokemon GO have decreased over time. Despite this, the game has still managed to surpass 180 million worldwide downloads in its first two months on both the App Store and Google Play. SensorTower estimates that the game has been installed on more than 12 percent of all active U.S. smartphones at some point.

As of August 30, statistics show that active U.S. players on iOS spend around 32 minutes playing the game on average per day, which is unchanged from the game’s launch week.

The game still remains the highest grossing mobile game in the U.S. and still occupies a top five spot for mobile game downloads on both the App Store and Google Play with very minimal paid advertising or major content updates from Niantic.
