Sony has a very "slim" announcement coming up on January 30th. Many speculators believe it to be the announcement of a slim Vita for the US and Europe.

If this is true, fans can look forward to a 20 percent thinner and 15 percent lighter Vita. The new Vita also apparently drops the OLED screen for an LED screen, and comes with 1GB of internal storage, which means you do not need to buy a memory card when buying physical Vita games.

The slim Vita in Japan also sported six different colors and a retail price of 18,890 yen, or $190. Sony has been tight lipped regarding further details, so we will have to wait and see what happens on the 30th.
