It's only been a day since the game got released, but already people are getting angry at Ubisoft. This is because Rainbow Six Siege's Terrorist Hunt mode, a mode where players have to fight off waves of enemy AI on maps around the globe, was promised to have an offline mode. The only problem with this is that, even though it was advertised to be in the game, the fan-favorite Terrorist Hunt mode isn't available for offline play. This was especially notable because Rainbow Six Siege lacks a single player campaign.
In a forum post on the official Ubisoft forums, a Ubisoft representative stated the following:
The creative vision for Rainbow Six Siege has always been strongly focused on a compelling cooperative and multiplayer experience. The game supports solo play when playing Terrorist Hunt offline & online and we will provide further details on single-player content in the near future.Upon discovering that this was not the case, disgruntled players took to the forums to ask why the promised offline feature wasn't included in the game. Matches played over a LAN network can still be played offline. It is as of yet unclear whether the offline support will be patched in at a later date or what has caused this situation, whether it be bug, bad organization or just removal of a feature by Ubisoft.
Rainbow Six Siege got released yesterday to critical acclaim, with reviewers citing the robust, high-octane multiplayer while being critical of the game's supposedly dumbed down gameplay.

Will they ever learn? Don't advertise something if it's not going to be in the base game. It's as simple as that. Ubisoft is already struggling to remain the public's good graces, and stuff like this won't really help them convince consumers that they're trustworthy. Botched releases, horribly unoptimized and downright broken games have been par for the course for the French developer over the past couple of years. Even though this is a relatively minor infraction, it's yet another thing to add to the list of complaints levied in their general direction.I'd love to know your thoughts on this.
