The Planet Coaster Magnificent Rides Collection is on its way and will be bringing nine new rides into the mix as part of a paid DLC package.

Theme park tycoon fans have been enjoying Planet Coaster for a couple of years now and Frontier Developments is still quite happy to continue releasing both free and paid content for their game. It's certainly come a long way ever since our review at its release! The Planet Coaster Magnificent Rides Collection is set to be the next piece of paid DLC and will be adding nine new rides to the game.

A news post on the game's Steam Community page and a press release from the publisher have some more details on what we can expect from the Planet Coaster Magnificent Rides Collection. Players will be getting nine new rides and one variant ride as part of this package. We have some small details on three of the new toys that are coming in this DLC:

  • Grand Carousel - The Grand Carousel is the carousel to end all carousels. This ride is fun for the whole family and features a bunch of delightful horses along with a variety of other built-in vehicles.
  • Mind Melt - The Mind Melt (pictured in our header) is an inverted coaster with a particular proclivity for twists and turns. Your most adventurous guests will certainly want to take a spin on this crazy coaster!
  • Tracker - The Tracker is more of a middle-ground ride. This is a pod that guests sit in while they enjoy the scenery. The Tracker can pitch and roll to make it seem as if the scenery surrounding the riders has come to life!
These three new rides being introduced in the Planet Coaster Magnificent Rides Collection are just part of the fun that players can look forward to.  If this sounds like the kind of thing you'd like to grab, it'll cost you a cool $10.99/£7.99/€10.99, or your regional equivalent. The Planet Coaster Magnificent Rides Collection launches on December 18, 2018. If you don't yet own the game you can pick it up at the Humble Store or on Steam for just $44.99.
