Today, Versus Evil and Obsidian Entertainment announced that Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition will be releasing on the Nintendo Switch on August 8 for 49.99, with pre-orders through the Nintendo Switch eShop receiving a 20% discount of $39.99 through August 15.

"Our continued partnership with Obsidian reaffirms our combined commitment in delivering one of the best RPG experiences available to Nintendo Switch players."In Pillars of Eternity, players can create and customise their character, with 11 classes and six races (Human, Aumaua, Dwarf, Elf, Godlike, and Orlan) available. Players can side with various factions using the in-game reputation system and create their own story through the people they meet and the allegiances that they make along the way, along with a party of companions that can join players in their quest. Pillars of Eternity is a title where choices matter and a chosen path can change the fate of the players' party.
Nintendo Switch players will be able to experience the first game in the Pillars universe, which was first made a reality through 70,000 backers on Kickstarter. As this is the complete edition of Pillars of Eternity, players will receive both the White March: Parts I & II DLC. Along with the DLC, Nintendo Switch players will receive all of the major updates from the PC version, which include a raised level cap, expanded party AI options, and new difficulty levels so that the experience can be as finely tuned as possible.
For those still waiting, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire is still coming for the Nintendo Switch, with more news being shared next month at Gamescom and PAX events.
