From Coffee Stain studios a trailer was shown at the PC Gaming Show at E3 2019 for Midnight Ghost Hunt. In the trailer we see a character wearing a hazmat suit tracking down and taking out ghosts. The ghost roles seem to be somewhat similar to how the hiders play in games like Prop Hunt but instead you have a chance to do more than hide.

Sam Malone, the one-man team behind Midnight Ghost Hunt took to the stage to talk about the game. It will be a 4v4 experience where the ghost goal is to hide in the environments but also to take out the different hunters. Each round will be a timed ordeal, they can hide out the time, or if they see a chance to take out a hunter they can go for it. The first part of the game consists of hunting down each of the ghosts, but once found the hunters can attack the ghosts.

Garry’s Mod’s Prop Hunt Game Mode was even referenced in the discussion as a big source of inspiration with the added twists of the prop fighting back. Once the grandfather clock chimes after 4 minutes the ghosts then return in a more powerful form and the hunter becomes the hunted. At this point, the hunters are severely outmatched but there’s a chance that they can escape if they last until their evac arrives.

Alpha later in the summer and you can go to midnightghosthunt.com to sign up, joining the discord also gives players a chance to get their hands on the game through various code giveaways.

I have been playing all kinds of games for as long as I can remember with a particular interest in action adventure and platforming titles. While I am primarily an Xbox gamer I also spend a fair bit of time on the PS4 and on my PC in VR.
