Double Fine made a showing at the E3 2018 PC Gaming Show with Ooblets, a rather colorful and happy game reminiscent of Pikmin.

We got to see a colorful trailer filled with upbeat music and the colorful characters in Ooblets. It opened with a montage showing off some of the cutesy characters in the game who engaged in a mini dance party. We then transitioned to a town where a woman was running with a trail of Ooblets behind here as she passed through the crowds of people. A montage of farming mechanics, various bits of furniture, and different settings were shown as the video came to a close. Have a gander at the game's E3 2018 trailer if you've missed it the first time around:

In essence, Ooblets is a game that aims to combine features from Animal CrossingPokémon, and Harvest Moon into one game with elements from all three. Players will be able to battle wild creatures with their own or fight against other trainers using a turn-based RPG battle system. Those of us with green thumbs can grow baby Ooblets from seeds. You'll be able to explore the town and complete quests which will unlock new items to buy as well as new biomes to explore, each of which will have their own unique challenges and creatures for you to discover. It's safe to say that this is a game that's great for people who love to collect stuff.

Ooblets can be added to your wishlist on Steam. You can also check out the game's official website. It's set to release sometime in 2018.
