The second game we got to see at the PC Gaming Show 2019 was Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2. This game is taking players to one of the most frightening locations on the entire planet: Seattle.

The opening of the trailer appears to show a stake being pulled out of your heart. Unlike in the Buffyverse, a stake through the heart of a vampire will simply paralyze them. It seems that you start off your own adventure in a similar state as you’re rescued in the opening moments of the game. It is then that you are loosed upon Seattle to decide your fate with only a sole condition to uphold: maintain the Masquerade and keep the existence of vampires a secret.

The time when you were made a vampire happened during an event called the “The Mass Embrace”. Many of your peers are having issues adjusting to their new life death, but you got a little luckier. As one would expect, you’ll have your choice of joining one of the multiple vampire clans, each with their own unique upsides and downsides. The trailer showed us multiple scenes and different characters from the next game in the Vampire: The Masquerade series, including some of the more deformed vampire clans.

There’s sure to be plenty of challenges for players to overcome, nevermind the lines at Starbucks and the 17 dudes who will probably be panhandling on every corner in Seattle. Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 will arrive in the first quarter of 2020. You can watch the Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 trailer below to get a solid look at what you can expect in this upcoming game.
