During the PC Gaming Show 2019 conference this Monday, we saw an announcement trailer for Last Oasis, a "nomadic survival" MMO. Earth has stopped rotating, and the last human survivors need to outrun the scorching sun in a massive open world. You can build mobile bases called walkers, and travel to new lands, forge your own clans and fight for territory. Resources deplete quickly, so you must take your sword and scavenge, pirate, and trade to stay alive.

The Last Oasis world consists of many interconnected oases, forming a large open world. There can be a thousand oasis existing simultaneously, the number automatically adjusts to accommodate the size of the player base. Each oasis is over 100km2, and you can explore them to reveal new and unique biomes while exploiting their limited resources.

There's also "No-Man’s Land," the open desert that sits between the last livable oases on Earth. You have to use it to travel between adjacent oases, as long as you have enough water on your walker. The game also features a dynamic skill-based directional melee combat, with a variety of weapons from one-handed and two-handed swords, maces, axes, or quarterstaves. You can hammer your opponents from a distance with a wide range of onboard weapons like ballistae, scattershot guns, repeaters, or even catapults. You can specialize in one weapon, or become a more versatile fighter trying to master them all.

Of course, there's also base-building, both portable ones and more permanent fortifications. That's how you will protect yourself from hostile players and the natural dangers of the world. Stone walls can give you a superior defense, while lighter wooden structures can be repacked and relocated.

Last Oasis will debut on Steam Early Access by on September 3. You can already wishlist and follow the game on Steam, or on Twitter, Discord, Instagram, Facebook.
