If you've ever felt the need to embrace your inner John Hammond and run a theme park full of dinosaurs, you'll have the opportunity to do so in the near future with the announcement of Parksaurus according to a press release from developer Washbear.
Parkasaurus is all about living the dream of running a park full of adorable dinosaurs to share with the world. Each dinosaur has its own requirements for its habitat, and you'll have to operate within all the usual constraints of a business. (After all, you can't build a new raptor pen if you don't have the money to do it.) As the seasons in the game progress, guests will enter and leave your park, (hopefully) increasing your earnings and giving you the potential to expand even further. Heck, you can even go back in time to nab some more dinosaur eggs and expand your operations, because why not throw all the potential dangers of time travel into the mix of a theme park filled with gigantic reptiles.
These different game elements (shown in the trailer) tells us that Parkasaurus is about a bit more than staring at an overhead view of your guests and a bunch of management screens. A number of minigames are available (such as hunting for fossils), and even the typically boring management and shopping screens are colorfully animated.
As one might expect, things won't always go as smoothly as you'd hope in Parksaurus. The incredibly high-tech wooden fences might not be enough to keep your dinos in the pen. A jailbreak can result in injured guests and lowered profits, so you'll have to hop into first-person mode with a tranquilizer gun and knock out the dinos before they wreak too much havoc. Each season in the game will bring new weather and, with that, new environmental challenges to overcome for you and your polygonal dinosaurs.
