Today in the preshow to the Sony PlayStation Event at Paris Games Week Sony took the time to announce Hong Kong Massacre, a title by a two-man Sweedish team called Vreski. Hong Kong Massacre meshes top-down shooting like Hotline Miami with a splash of Max Payne and Hong Kong action films. The sort of slow down mechanic and dual pistol wielding that come from those games help give The Hong Kong Massacre it's own feel
Work began on the project back in 2014 and uses Unity. They've kept a dev blog throughout the time and the comparisons of what we saw today, to what was posted back then are absolutely stunning to behold and see how the game has evolved over the years.
The Hong Kong Massacre has no release date, but it is expected to release sometime in 2018.
