As an icon of video gaming only rivaled by Mario, Pac-Man will be making his way to the Wii U and 3DS systems to duke it out in the upcoming Super Smash Brothers! Pac-Man is by far the highest requested game character to be featured in Smash who isn't actually owned by Nintendo.
The trailer that revealed Namco's mascot showed off a variety of classic arcade game inspired moves. These include the Pac-Man ghosts, Galaga tractor beams, various 8-bit items to throw, and of course transforming into the "pizza with a missing slice" shape that dominated the arcades of the early 80's. The trailer ends with a quick mention that Pac-Man (and Mr. Game & Watch) started a year earlier than Mario and Donkey Kongs' famous bout.
