NVYVE Studios, a 6 man indie micro-development team, has launched the Steam Greenlight campaign for their game P.A.M.E.L.A. You can check out the new trailer for the sci-fi, survival horror game below. Interested gamers can now vote for the project to be green-lit on Steam here.

P.A.M.E.L.A. is an open world game being developed for Windows PC. The game includes both FPS and RPG elements set in a failed future utopia. Taking a look at the trailer P.A.M.E.L.A. is reminiscent of games like Mass Effect and Bioshock.

“P.A.M.E.L.A.™ explores the unforeseen consequences of humanity's craving for technological and biological advancement,” said Adam Simonar, Studio Director of NVYVE® Studios. “With release scheduled for 2016, we are excited to reveal a taste of the background story behind the devastating fall of a technologically utopian civilization gone wrong”.

In P.A.M.E.L.A. play as a Sleeper awoken from cryosleep and explore the mysterious world of Eden while defending yourself from it's inhabitants. Eden is a fallen utopia where technology has gone awry. Pamela is the AI overseer trying to set things right.

On Eden you are the intruder and it's  broken citizens are trying to defend themselves against you. P.A.M.E.L.A. includes a personality-driven AI system which will make each encounter unique. In this world there are various factions with their own unique behaviors and alliances that will react dynamically to the players interactions with them.

There seems to be a lot of depth to P.A.M.E.L.A. between interactions with the Afflicted citizens, security droids, robotic custodians, and more as well as discovering the story behind Eden's downfall. Along with an immersive story the gameplay is supposed to be tense. Players will have to manage the limited power supply of the city  to keep themselves out of the dark. Weapon upgrades and Bio-Augmentations are also available to help players but some enhancements will come with a cost.

In P.A.M.E.L.A. the developers are endeavoring to make every decision the player makes matter from interactions with NPC's to their own gameplay skill-set. The game is set for release in 2016 so we won't be seeing it this horror game season but maybe the next. If you're interested in supporting P.A.M.E.L.A. you can vote for it on Steam Greenlight here.
