A brand-new Overwatch Paris map has been revealed! This map is all set up for the Assault style game mode where players have to capture two points in succession. Similar maps include Volskaya Industries and Hanamura. This is the first new Assault map added to the game since Horizon Lunar Colony's June 2017 debut on the PTR.

The futuristic version of France in the Overwatch Paris map is decidedly French with narrow alleyways and positively beautiful architecture. The Eiffel Tower is prominently visible on the opposite side of the Seine river because, hey, it wouldn't be Paris without that beautiful landmark. Of course, it's not a completely accurate rendition of the city as not a single one of the many cars have been reduced to a burned-out husk. The announcement of the new map was made via the game's official Twitter account.

The new Paris map has many decidedly French features including an Omnic singer in a cabaret club, tight alleyways, and a beautiful mansion.

Interestingly, the new Overwatch Paris map isn't the first map from France in the game. That distinction goes to Château Guillard which debuted in August of 2017 along with the game's FFA Deathmatch mode. This makes France one of the handful of countries in the game that has more than a single map available to play. Most of the additional maps for countries are for other game modes (such as Castillo for Mexico or Black Forest for Germany) with the United States' Route 66 and Hollywood making for the only example where one nation has more than a single core game mode map.

You can play the Overwatch Paris map for yourself right now on the game's PTR. Don't forget that we're in the midst of the Lunar New Year event! You might also want to check out our interview with Carolina Ravassa, the lovely voice actress behind Talon's infiltration specialist Sombra.
