The Overwatch Paris Map is now available to play. The map first popped up on the game's Public Test Realm at the end of January 2019. After several weeks of testing, the folks at Blizzard Entertainment have decided that it's ready for prime time. Have a look at the map's trailer to get a feel for the new scenery:

Paris is an Assault-style map similar in gameplay to Hanamura and Volskaya Industries. Players must capture all three ticks of Point A before Point B unlocks with new spawning locations. The map includes a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower, a sultry Omnic singer, and narrow, winding European streets emblematic of France's most famous city. A map usually makes its way to the live version of the game after a few weeks of testing and it seems that the time has come for the Overwatch Paris map. This is the first new Assault map since the release of Horizon Lunar Colony in June 2017.
In addition to the new Overwatch Paris map, a single change has gone through for the gameplay. The order in which health, armor, and shields are drained has changed as follows:
- Old: Non-recoverable shields, recoverable shields, non-recoverable armor, recoverable armor, non-recoverable health, and recoverable health.
- New: Non-recoverable shields, non-recoverable armor, non-recoverable health, recoverable shields, recoverable armor, and recoverable health.
Blizzard World was introduced at the start of 2018 and it didn't make its way into the Overwatch League until Stage 3 of the inaugural season. I think we can expect to see the same pattern play out for the second season. We probably won't see the new Overwatch Paris map played on stage until after Stage 3 commences on June 6, 2019.
