Overwatch League replays will soon be available for anyone to watch. The Overwatch League is Blizzard Entertainment's Esports league for their premier first-person shooter Overwatch. Like many Esports titles, the production team has a specialized client that lets them observe the action from many different angles. Soon, you'll be able to view past games utilizing a very similar client, right from the comfort of your home.

Overwatch first tested out similar functionality at last year's Overwatch World Cup. The test must have been successful as a replay system will soon be publicly available for future Overwatch League matches.

According to a news post on the league's official website, players will have to download a special client just as they did with the Overwatch World Cup. Titled the "Professional Viewer", it will allow you to view the game pretty much the same way that the casters and observers do: from pretty much any perspective allowable. This includes first-person, third-person, and bird's eye perspectives.

Not only will the ability to watch Overwatch League replays be pretty interesting, it should also help players figure out exactly how the pros do things. Want to get some better insight on Lúcio play? Pick the correct match, switch to the healer's perspective, and watch them do their magic.

The Overwatch League replays should be made available on the Monday following the week's matches in the United States; the remainder of the world will gain access to the weeks' replays on Tuesday.

We don't yet have any more details on the Professional Viewer, but odds are that it'll be coming soon since they've announced it so close to the start of Stage 3 of Season 2. Stage 3 of the Overwatch League kicks off tomorrow, June 6, 2019, at 7:00 PM Eastern Time.

Are you going to watch Overwatch League replays or do you prefer to watch the game's live? Would you like to be able to watch your own matches with such a system? Let us know in the comments below!
