Overwatch League Dallas Fuel xQc

Félix "xQc" Lengyel and the Dallas Fuel have parted ways according to a press release from the Texas-based Overwatch League team.

The Dallas Fuel has announced that they have come to a mutual agreement with xQc to part ways. The announcement was made on the heels of the league announcing disciplinary action against xQc alongside two other players and a head coach on March 10, 2018. He has been fined $4,000 and suspended for four games for using a Twitch emote "in a racially-disparaging manner" in the league's Twitch chat and for using disparaging language against casters & other players in his personal stream according to the statement from the league. He was previously fined $2,000 and suspended for four games for using an anti-gay slur against another player on his personal stream; the Dallas Fuel had added onto the league's punishment by benching him for the remainder of Stage 1.

As for the prospects of joining another team, xQc addressed this possibility on his personal stream during the middle of a competitive game:

"When you get signed onto a team, they sign you with a [work] contract or whatever, right? But then the league has to approve your entry, right? So the league would have to manually approve my re-entry into another team. And I don't know about that, my dude. Listen, I think's that unlikely, to be fair."
xQc is the first player to leave one of the twelve initial Overwatch League teams in its inaugural season. The Dallas Fuel has stated that this will allow them to sign an additional player and provide for additional flexibility and stability on their roster.

We've reached out to xQc for comment and will update this story as more information becomes available.

What do you think of xQc leaving the Dallas Fuel? Do you think he'll join another Overwatch League team or will he focus on other entertainment avenues? Let us know in the comments below!
