Are you ready for the greatest party of your death? Then you won't have to wait much longer, as Night School Studio has announced that Afterparty will be launching on October 29th.

So you've had a bad day and ended up dead and in Hell. Don't worry, happens to the best of us. Thankfully, there's a loophole that allows you to get out. That loophole? You need to outdrink the Devil. This is the premise of Afterparty, a game that follows Lola and Milo after they fall into this exact situation. Utilizing conversation and adventure game styled gameplay, the two will explore Hell by traveling on the River Styx and get better at drinking so they can take on the Devil himself.

The game is being developed and published by Nigh School Studio, the same developers who put out the popular cosmic horror adventure game Oxenfree. In a press release Sean Krankel, the co-founder and creative director of Night School Studio, had the following to say:

We’re finally just weeks away from launching our boozy buddy adventure, Afterparty, and we cannot wait for players to explore the afterlife. We’ve spent the last few years building a world, story and mechanics to allow players to star in their own dark comedy. We hope fans of our games and binge-worthy adult animation alike will join Lola and Milo on October 29th in their quest to escape Hell.

Afterparty will be available on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on October 29th for a price of $19.99. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch, while the PlayStation 4 version will come with an exclusive dynamic theme. The game is also in development for the Nintendo Switch, and more word on that version will be coming in the next few months.

Are you going to grab Afterparty? Were you a big fan of Oxenfree and excited for the next game by the studio? If you had to outdrink the devil then what is your alcohol of choice? Let us know in the comments below!
