Indie adventure game OPUS: Rocket of Whispers is heading to the Nintendo Switch eShop on March 22nd.

Currently available on Android, iOS, and PC, Rocket of Whispers will be a Switch console exclusive, developers Flyhigh Works and SIGONO confirmed via Twitter. The game is a followup to OPUS: The Day We Found Earth, also available on all the aforementioned platforms as well as Nintendo Switch.

OPUS: Rocket of Whispers sees players take control of John, a rocket engineer's son, and Fei, a "witch" who has awoken from twenty years of cryogenic sleep. The game takes place on a planet which has been ravaged by a disastrous plague and is now haunted by the spirits of the plague's victims. John and Fei must navigate the ruined landscape, searching for parts to build a rocket and give the ghosts which haunt the planet a "spacebound burial".

Developers Flyhigh Works and SIGONO describe the game as "an emotionally-driven and heartwarming adventure" which features themes of "purpose and loneliness". Players can expect "over 100 items" of in-game art to find and inspect, as well as "over 30 beautiful atmospheric soundscapes".

In this video, a level designer from SIGONO discusses the challenges of creating levels for OPUS: Rocket of Whispers, as well as some of the geographical features and design processes players can expect to encounter when playing the game.

OPUS: Rocket of Whispers will be available on the Switch via Nintendo eShop starting from March 22nd, with pre-orders opening up a week earlier on March 15th. The game will cost $8.99 at launch, but pre-ordering will net you a 10% discount. Check out the trailer for OPUS: Rocket of Whispers on Nintendo Switch below.
