If you grew up with any game in the Zelda franchise, you probably went outside and swung a stick you called the Master Sword in your own adventure. Nintendo is now working to bring that fantasy a little more into reality as they are partnering up with SCRAP, well-known designers of escape rooms, to create Defenders of the Triforce.

For those unfamiliar with escape rooms, they are themed rooms ranging from something like Sherlock Holmes to theaters, to caves, and more where a group of people tries to follow some clues hidden away throughout the room to eventually unlock the door and escape.

That's not exactly with Defenders of the Triforce will be. According to a press release, Defenders of the Triforce will be quite expansive, as it is described as a "unique milti-city Puzzle Tour." Instead of the locked room, players (in groups of six) will be trying to solve a mystery in a large area, where you find items to solve puzzles to eventually move on to the next area. It's also a bit more guided than your traditional escape room as it is a "fully hosted, story-based escape event." There's no details on what sort of story it will feature, but it's likely safe to assume it will fit the Zelda theme quite well. Also Defenders of the Triforce will feature items from the Zelda franchise that people should recognize, with some classic items and characters like the Goron and Zora.

Once players complete their tour (solve their mysteries), they have the opportunity to hang out in a Zelda-themed lounge and have access to exclusive Zelda merchandise.

Starting in January of 2017, Defenders of the Triforce will be coming to eight cities around the United States as part of the first wave. You can reserve your spot right here.

Here's a list of all eight cities and the dates for some:

  • San Francisco – Jan. 31-Feb. 5

  • San Diego – Feb. 24-25
  • Seattle – TBA
