Nintendo's mobile lineup, with huge moneymakers like Fire Emblem Heroes and Dragalia Lost, is getting even bigger with the announcement of both a new partnership and Dr. Mario mobile title with Dr. Mario World.

Nintendo's press release, which came out today, indicates what we can expect for the future on mobile platforms. LINE Corporation is a mobile game developer know for titles such as LINE: Disney Tsum Tsum and LINE Rangers.

LINE is the Japanese subsidiary of Korean company NHN Entertainment, which will also play a part in operating the newly announced Dr. Mario World. While there's no gameplay specifics, the press release gives a few clues on Dr. Mario World's direction when talking about LINE and NHN's technological expertise:

...LINE is dedicated to creating a world that seamlessly connects people, information, content, and services anywhere, anytime, and at the most comfortable distance. In its endeavor to realize a self-contained Smart Portal strategy, LINE offers services in a variety of fields to its 165 million monthly active users in four key markets (Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and Indonesia), where the userbase continues to expand.
LINE acts as a co-developer along with Nintendo for Dr. Mario World, an "action puzzle game" which sounds like previous entries in the franchise. Dr. Mario World is expected to release early summer 2019 and will be free to play with in-app purchases.

Up until now, Nintendo has worked with mobile gaming company DeNA in a business partnership. They've helped spawn all previous Nintendo mobile entries such as Super Mario Run, and will continue to work on the upcoming Mario Kart Tour, which was announced today to be delayed to this summer.

Nintendo's dedication to mobile gaming with upcoming titles and now this partnership shows that they are seriously investing in the market. For now, stay tuned for more Dr. Mario World news over the coming months.
