The trailer introduces a new character named Eleanor Ernest. She is a lively chocolatier who will befriend protagonist Aluche on her journey. The video also confirms that pure blooded demon Christophorus will be returning from the original Nights of Azure. Both will help the knight in her task in their own way.

When going into battle, players will be able to choose one companion from the available NPC’s and two Servans to join player character Aluche. Each character and Servan have unique abilities, weapons and fighting styles that will change the dynamic of your fights. Humanoid companions and Aluche can combine their abilities to perform a powerful Lily Burst attack.

Servans can’t perform Lily Bursts but they can be ordered to perform various actions that are very useful in combat. Servans come in a variety of genres that will have different types of abilities and attacks ranging from healing spells to elemental assaults. As they get more experience in battle Servans will evolve, changing their form as they level up gaining power and new abilities.

Aluche can also increase her power as the game progresses. Powered by the blood of her slain friends, Aluche can increase her strength and gain new abilities. As she levels up players will be able to customize their play style by choosing abilities that fit their preferred method of combat.
