The cult classic Night Trap will be making its way to the PlayStation Vita according to a tweet from Limited Run Games.

Night Trap is an important game in vidya history; it's one of the handful of titles that were used as examples of violent entertainment in government hearings during the early '90s. It's quite tame by today's standards, but the possibility of government regulation resulted in the ESA creating the Entertainment Software Rating Board that we all know and love. It was recently revived on modern systems a bit over a year ago.

Featuring a plot that only a B movie fan could enjoy, Night Trap has players working to save a bunch of cute girls at a slumber party from the bad guys. This is done through monitoring cameras placed throughout the household where they are staying. When an alert goes off, you can activate a trap which will stop the baddies. Failing to time it correctly results in the trap being disabled for a short time and putting the girls at risk.

Limited Run Games will be creating physical copies of Night Trap for the PlayStation Vita. Aside from that particular title, they'll also be doing a run of another FMV game called Double Switch for the PlayStation 4. As is typical for Limited Run Games, these printings will be one-offs of a fixed quantity. You'll only have the one opportunity to buy them (unless you'd prefer to pay jacked-up prices on eBay).

Limited Run Games recently struck a deal with Best Buy which will see a selection of their titles sold in a retail environment. If you enjoy cheesy FMV games, it appears that you'll be spoiled for choice very soon. Both of these titles will be available for purchase at LimitedRunGames.com on Friday, November 2, 2018, at 10:00 AM Eastern Time.

What do you think of Night Trap coming to the PlayStation Vita and Double Switch coming to the PlayStation 4? Are there any other FMV games that you would like to see get a physical release? Let us know in the comments below!
