Update: Kotaku's Jason Schreier, who earlier tweeted knowing about Assassin's Creed Odyssey, does a further run-down of the game.

Per Schreier:

We’ve heard the same details from three people who have played the game, and several more who have heard about it secondhand. While Origins added Witcher-like RPG elements, Odyssey will take things even further, those people said, bringing dialogue options to the series for the first time. You’ll be able to play as either a male or a female protagonist, although the builds we’ve heard about did not feature Origins’ main characters Bayek or Aya, but new heroes.
Some of this information does confirm a few of the tidbits from the previous reddit and 4chan leaks listed before, in particular, the dual protagonists. The addition of dialogue options is also a new feature not mentioned in the previous leaks. More information will likely be revealed by Ubisoft soon.

According to Schreier, his sources also confirm that the game is slated for the 2019 Fiscal Year, which ends on March 31st, 2019. This means it can be expected to have a fall release, but this is unconfirmed at this time.

Schreier also revealed that the keychains are being distributed worldwide to gaming stores today, marking the third time an Assassin's Creed game has been leaked due to merchandise. They also had an independant image of the keychain confirming its existence.

Original Story: With E3 just around the corner, a ton of games are always being leaked or made public at this time. One of the companies most struct by this is Ubisoft, and the latest rumor/leak from the French company is Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

Most recently, and the reason for today's post is JeuxVideo-Live posting an image, showcasing a Spartan helmet keychain and the Assassin's Creed: Odyssey logo. The post also notes that the game will be a sequel to Origins, and continue the story of Bayek. One area where the JeuxVideo post contradicts past rumors is that it states there is no set release date for the game yet, while the Reddit/4chan post below states 2018.

Journalist Jason Schreier of Kotaku also confirmed the game's existence, noting that he knew about Odyssey "for months" briefly on Twitter.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey, according to several rumors that have been posted on reddit and 4chan several weeks ago, will take place in Greece during the Roman Flavian Dynasty. A lot of different features have been touted to make a return to the franchise, including the Brotherhood, renovation and social stealth systems seen in previous games. Naval battles will also return, as will features found in Assassin's Creed: Origins, such as uncovering tombs.

The thread also goes into some potential spoilers for the game, as well as plans for more customizable and crafting options. It especially mentions the ability to create your own navy and customize your own ship as a major feature.

It was also rumored that there will be two playable characters, but you will only be able to play one per playthrough. Both characters have different but intersecting stories, and different skills and abilities to use in the game as well, encouraging players to play it twice.

Size-wise, the explorable world will consist of mostly the Greek isles in the Aegean Sea, including the region of Attica (Athens) and the Roman State of Achaea. Macedonia, Epirus, Thrace and the Ionian Sea will also be explorable, with each Roman State divided into several regions.

We'll now have to see whether these rumors turn out to be true, as especially the Reddit and 4chan posts lack confirmation - although the ideas generally fit with what Assassin's Creed has done or with Ancient Greece.

Expect more from Ubisoft on Assassin's Creed: Odyssey during E3 this year.
