Obviously we’ve known for a while that STAR WARS: Battlefront has been in the works by DICE since last year’s Electronic Arts E3 Presentation. We’ve been waiting for details of the upcoming and highly anticipated game, because it’s been a very long time since the days of STAR WARS: Battlefront 2. Yesterday, we found out that the game will be shown off at E3 2014!
During an investor’s conference call held at EA earlier today, CEO Andrew Wilson responded to questions about the STAR WARS: Battlefront game and informed investors that “Battlefront [is] coming along very well”, mentioning the use of the Frostbite engine. He informed them that while there is still “lots of work to go”, EA won’t be hesitating to show off the game at E3 this year.
There have been no details of what exactly will be shown off at E3, but this news is welcome to fans of the series as we have been anticipating anything we can get our hands on!
If you want to see the unveiling of whatever EA Decides to show, the press conference is scheduled for Monday, June 9th and can be watched online. Personally, I’m excited to see how this game will turn out due to the fact that it’s a fresh new story on top of what I’m hoping is similar gameplay to the previous iterations. Either way, very exciting news!
If you’re as excited as we (and I) are, sound off in the comments below! Do you think DICE and EA will do a good job with the game?
