A major leak has occurred over the weekend in Pokémon Go, with what seems to be a brand new Pokémon being revealed.

The Pokémon website Serebii first reported on the mysterious new monster yesterday, after it was found in Pokémon Go by a user named Chrales. Chrales posted on his twitter an image of the new monster, in what looks like its normal and shiny colorings, stating that it was a "new Kecleon icon."
Today, with Niantic wrapping up Community Day in Asia Pacific, many Pokémon in the game transformed into the new monster. When captured, the monster turns into another Pokémon, perhaps referring to Chrales' Kecleon line.
Per Serebii, it is known that the Pokémon was not a mistake. Niantic's head of marketing for Pokémon Go, Kento Suga, has publicly stated that this is a tease and not a mistake. It is also spawning in Pokémon Go games across Europe and Japan thus far for a small amount of time.
Serebii, known for breaking news over the Pokémon franchise for over ten years, has at this time confirmed it to be an official new monster for the game. No details as to what the typing or even name of the Pokémon are have been made public at this time, but it is speculated that it will be a brand new monster that is catchable in Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu! and Let's Go Eevee!, something that was hinted at when the game was originally revealed.
