Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy A Telltale Series

Telltale has sent out a press release containing new information on Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: A Telltale Series. The first episode of this 5-part series is set to release on April 18th, with a retail version coming to a store near you on May 2nd.

Telltale has also released a new trailer, giving us a sneak peek at this original story featuring the universe's "unlikeliest heroes".

The trailer features everything you'd expect from an IP like Guardians of the Galaxy. There's jokes, serious characters in decidedly unserious situations (or vice versa) and Groot repeatedly telling everyone that he is, in fact, Groot. The story centers around the Guardians searching for an important artifact while simultaneously having to deal with the arrival of Thanos, whose obsession with the concept of death has led Death itself to fight by his side. Thanos will stop at nothing to attain his goals, including genocide.

Telltale have also revealed the cast for the main characters:

The series will feature a starstudded cast of voice talent, including Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights, The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series) as Star-LordEmily O'Brien (The Young and the Restless, Middle Earth: Shadow ofMordor) as Gamora, Nolan North (the Uncharted series, Pretty Little Liars) asRocket, Brandon Paul Eells (Watch Dogs) as Drax, and Adam Harrington (TheWolf Among Us, League of Legends) as Groot.
The first episode is called 'Tangled Up in Blue' and will release on April 18 for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, iOS, and Android for $4.99 or your regional equivalent. You can also elect to wait a few weeks longer to get your hands on a "season pass disc" that will automatically unlock new episodes as they come available.
