AMD recently announced its latest generation AMD PRO A-Series processors are now shipping in commercially available Windows 10 PCs, including desktops and laptops. However it's not just for personal use. AMD is extolling the benefits is processors will bring to businesses. AMD promises businesses, "unmatched dependability, stability, processor longevity and an opportunity for richer system configurations."

Data breaches are a major concern for businesses, and AMD has teamed up with ExactTrak to develop Security Guardian hardware technology to deal with it. Norman Shaw, Founder and CEO of ExactTrak stated, "With our Security Guardian technology providing geo-fencing, a key data and system manageability feature which can be integrated with ARM TrustZone and AMD Secure Processor, as well as the ability to remotely destroy the data chip if the device is lost or stolen, AMD and ExactTrak together will be leaders in the x86 industry by establishing root-of-trust at both the hardware and software level."

To further push the idea that this line of processors is perfect for businesses, AMD is also providing the AMD PRO Control Center for small businesses who don't already have management tools. The AMD PRO Control Center allows businesses to quickly and easily manage the power of AMD systems in the workplace. It includes features, such as AMD Energy Saver, PC Health Center, USB Blocker and Wireless Display.

This new line of processors also has several other new features. They are the first AMD processors to comply with the Heterogeneous Systems Architecture specification, which brings about greater performance and lower power consumption. The processors come with AMD Radeon graphics, to deal with graphics heavy applications. The new AMD PRO A12 will be first laptop processor to have Radeon R7 graphics. Desktop processors also supports AMD Quick Stream PRO, which cuts down the lag on latency sensitive applications like video streaming.

These processors are currently available in several HP laptops including the HP EliteBook 725, 745 and 755 series. It can also be found in desktop PCs from Lenovo and HP, such as the Lenovo M79 Tower and the HP EliteDesk 705 Micro Tower PC.
