Neverwinter, the Dungeons & Dragons-themed Free To Play MMORPG by Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios, will be coming to PlayStation 4 on July 19 according to a post on the PlayStation Blog.

The PlayStation 4 version of Neverwinter will include content from all nine currently released expansions for the game. All of the content is stated to be available for non-PlayStation Plus players. There's no word of cross-platform play, and such an endeavor would be difficult considering the staggered release schedules of new content for PC and consoles. The Xbox One version of Neverwinter entered closed beta in February 2015. It featured a different control scheme and UI in order to cater to the console experience.

The developers of Neverwinter added that Neverwinter will continue to receive content updates and in-game events. A patch for the PC version of the game was released yesterday.

This announcement comes shortly after the reveal of the tenth Neverwinter expansion Storm King's ThunderPlayers will be visiting Bryn Shander, the capital of the classic Icewind Dale setting. The expansion will include a new campaign with three new adventure zones for high-level characters as well as a new tier of Dungeon. Storm King's Thunder will be arriving on PC in August 2016. The expansion will be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 at a later date.

Players will be able to purchase a Head Start pack on July 12th and jump into the PlayStation 4 version of the game a week early. The pack includes an Onyx Horse mount, the Fragile Onyx weapon pack, a 20-pack of enchanted keys, and more. Early adopters who purchase the pack will also receive a "The Onyx Adorned" title. The Head Start pack will cost $19.99 or your regional equivalent.

Do you think Neverwinter will be successful on the PlayStation 4? How do you feel about how the game has handled the classic Dungeons & Dragons settings? Do you feel the Free To Play model in Neverwinter is fair? Let us know in the comments below!
