Mozilla has recently announced a developer-focused version of Firefox, currently known as the Firefox Developer Browser. To see the teaser and more information, check after the break!
Announced in a Mozilla blog post earlier today, the Firefox developer browser is a fork of Firefox, made exclusively by the Firefox Dev Tools team. According to the post, the browser has been redesigned to put the interests of developers first. Tools such as WebIDE and the Firefox tools adapter are also included, too. One of the goals of the browser is to stop developers from having to switch between multiple platforms, tools, and browsers. This is an intriguing goal, as it opens up a lot of speculation as to what other tools will be included. If the goal is to stop users from having to switch between multiple browsers or platforms, tools to change the user agent string will most likely be included.
The Firefox Developer Browser launches November 10th, which is a week from today.
