If you haven't recently checked out Steam's front page, well it's time to check. Look's like NetherRealm Studios has taken the initiative to port the massive franchise to PC along with the console release. If your'e a big fan of fighters, like me, this might be something that will be right up your alley. With the 360/PS3 getting a April of 2011 release of MK9 and then PC getting a July 2013 release, this is surely a great move for Ed and company to make a simultaneous release.

Now the last game that did come out was Mortal Kombat 9 with a long and arduous release with Midway Games Chicago going under and was subsequently bought by Warner Bros. Interactive. Under a new company, Ed Boon was able to open a new studio and got the game off the ground. It actually proved that fans were still around and waiting for a new Mortal Kombat game, especially with the previous release of Mortal Kombat vs. DCU.

So far with the hints that Ed Boon is famous for doing, recently showed off Ermac. Of course fan favorites, Sub Zero and Scorpion, are back with brand new looks. Expect the game to run in the silky smooth 60+ FPS and native 1080p (hopefully it has higher resolutions).

The tournament continues with Mortal Kombat X on April 14, 2015 with PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, and Xbox One getting all the same release dates. The specifications are below that have been listed on steam.
