The next time you’re thinking of ordering a pizza, you might want to consider the Monopoly Pizza Board Game. Or maybe, eat some pizza while you’re playing a game about pizza.
My favorite part about this edition is the box that it comes in – it looks like a classic pizza box made for order. Our little monopoly man is sporting a chef’s outfit and is holding a fresh slice.
Of course, the rest of this package is true to its name as well. There are several tokens that fit this theme as well, including a pizza slicer, delivery bike, and even a pizza man. The board, money, and chance cards are unique to this version as well.
Instead of buying up properties you’ll buy up different toppings (the game refers to them as types of pizza) like the accursed pineapple space, bacon, and even mac & cheese. Different toppings have different colors, and the description says you need to “collect a color set, which corresponds to a type of pizza.” Further, the description reads:
A full set of flavors combines to make an awesome new pizza, giving those cards a higher value at the end of the game. At the end of the game, The player who collected the most pizza slices wins.
If you fancy yourself a pizza connoisseur, maybe you should give Monopoly Pizza a try. The game is available for pre-order and will be out soon, and should be delivered to you sometime early January. Check out its Amazon page or the Walmart listing, where you can pre-order it now.

I don’t claim to be a Monopoly connoisseur, but this version of the game has me intrigued. I kind of like it for the collector’s value and I really like its pizza aesthetic. I know Monopoly has done video game-themed editions in the past, but it’s cool to see them doing something nobody saw coming.
