Anime is popular, if the internet and adult swim are any indication. Just go on Youtube and you will see that anime is...well-liked, to say the least.

Well if you have $5 lying around, Google Play, and always wanted to have a taste of what it is like to run your own anime studio, then the Japanese mobile game studio Kairosoft has released Anime Studio Story.

You must create an anime star of a show and make it successful. The star must be likeable in several traits such a 'datebility' and 'popularity'. The studio you create must be well run. It will need a well staffed team, upgrades, and equipment such as motion capture if you want to get the best possible quality of animation. Winning the audience's approval and awards are the goals of the game.

It is a management sim, so get ready to play overlord over your minions. If you are not familiar with the genre, it will require some diligent micromanagement, patience, and a good deal of trial and error. Think The Sims or even one of the Sim games, such as SimTower, for a general idea.

This certainly sounds like an interesting title to take on the go and the studio behind it has several sim games in its background so do not expect a lack of professionalism from their part. Those who have always enjoyed anime from the casual to the cosplayers and beyond will have a chance to see if they can pull off their own successful anime show. At the very least the price will not break you bank.

No word yet on on iOs version.

Anime Studio Story is available and currently selling for $4.99 on Google Play.
