Streaming tool provider Mobcrush has debuted a new feature for its livestream platform. ReplayEngine is a nifty new feature that automatically generates "Action Replays" from stream highlights. It's currently in open beta.

Here's how it works. Mobcrush says its algorithm uses "machine vision-driven artificial intelligence" to automatically generate Action Replays live as a stream happens (you can also generate them afterward). Action Replays are effectively highlight moments that the algorithm automatically identifies. You can then present them to your entire fanbase across every leading streaming platform including YouTube, Twitch, Mixer, Facebook, and Twitter. To begin with, automatic IDing of highlights will be limited to FortnitePlayerUnknown's BattlegroundsApex Legends, and Rocket League. Mobcrush says it will add support for more games over the coming months, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Destiny 2: Shadowkeep in October.

There's also a new Picture-in-Picture (PiP) feature for Mobcrush's ReplayEngine. This feature allows the highlight to play within the stream itself as it happens. Picture-in-Picture will be exclusive to Fortnite streamers for the first two weeks of open beta (appropriately enough). You'll be able to customize PiP; you can tell it to display itself in various locations on the screen, as well as creating a Playlist that queues up as many as ten replays as highlight reels.

If you're lucky enough to be going to TwitchCon, you'll be able to see ReplayEngine in action. Mobcrush is showcasing the new feature as part of its Action Replay Party presentation at TwitchCon. This event will be open to all TwitchCon attendees. TwitchCon 2019 will take place from September 27th-29th this year at the San Diego Convention Center. This'll be the con's second time at San Diego after it was first held there in 2016.

ReplayEngine is in open beta now. Mobcrush hopes to extend its Go Live Get Paid sponsorship platform to include Action Replays by 2020. This will allow streamers to generate revenue from views of Action Replays as well as their full streams.
