Kicking off tomorrow, June 11, 2017, Microsoft is officially dropping the price of the Xbox One S by $50. This will drop most bundles down to $249.00 and will drop the Minecraft Favorites bundle all the way down to $199.

The only info we have on the price drop so far is from the tweet below sent out by the official Xbox Twitter account earlier today. As of now, Microsoft has not indicated if this is a permanent drop or simply a limited time offer.

Announcing this before their conference, tomorrow afternoon, seems to hint at an aggressive pricing stance for their upcoming console code-named Project Scorpio. Industry projections for the upcoming console have ranged from $399 all the way up to $599. The projections are based on the specs Microsoft revealed in April.

If you're not interested in the extra power, or the "potentially" substantial price point, the Scorpio offers, then the new price of the Xbox One S is incredibly hard to resist. The Xbox one S is 40% smaller than the original Xbox One while featuring HDR and 4k video. In fact, it's currently the only console that offers Ultra HD Blu-ray support.

We are expecting an exciting press conference for Microsoft at 2PM PT / 5 PM ET tomorrow afternoon with a ton of new games to go with their next box. Earlier today we learned that we will be seeing more of BioWare's next game Anthem running on the Scorpio. With Sea of Thieves, Crackdown 3, and Cuphead all expectedthis could be one of their best conferences ever.
