From the creators of Gone Home we get to see a new game where you aim is to explore the Lunar Transfer Station Tacoma. Where is this you ask? Why it’s only 200,000 miles from Earth. Your aim in this game is to explore the Tacoma and unravel any mysteries that might be present including what has happened to all of the crew.

While not much has been revealed about this game we do know that it’s expected to release in 2016.

I have been playing all kinds of games for as long as I can remember with a particular interest in action adventure and platforming titles. While I am primarily an Xbox gamer I also spend a fair bit of time on the PS4 and on my PC in VR.

My guess is they all ran off with trans aliens to start a patreon commune..

Looks like it could be more interesting than Gone Home, but I’m not looking forward to it either way. Gone Home also sent out that “horror” vibe when you first saw gameplay and then even played it yourself. But then it quickly turned into a boring, poorly written drama with a nonsensical, abrupt ending. The only horror present was having to sit through the game itself – all <90 minutes of it. <60 seconds if you speedrun it!

Who knows what this one will be like, but they aren't starting from a very good foundation in my book if they're making it anything like Gone Home.

I never played Gone Home, because it didn’t interest me. As I understand it though, what the game did do very well was create a realistic environment that was interesting to explore, even if the game was too short and story pointless and the tone didn’t fit what they marketed. But if they can apply that environment building to an abandoned space station and actually flesh out a decent story, this could be interesting. Reserve judgement until its released, don’t get your reviews from Polygon, and if it turns into another 1 hour walk about, Steam does refunds now.

The best thing about this game will be the glowing reviews from Kotaku et al.

  • Ok they got me interested. Never played Gone Home but a friend of mine says its fantastic.
