Metro Exodus Adaptive Controller enhanced support has been announced by 4A Games. While the Xbox Adaptive Controller can be used in pretty much any title on Microsoft's flagship console, 4A Games have gone the extra mile in order to better support this useful gaming peripheral.

The Xbox Adaptive Controller was created for gamers who suffered from disabilities that made it difficult to play with normal controllers. It looks simple enough on its face, but there's much more to the controller than meets the eye. Its key strength is the ability to plug in pretty much anything into a row of switches on the rear, essentially allowing all sorts of different switches, pedals, joysticks, and the like to be used for controlling your Xbox games. It's a pretty cool piece of tech that opens up gaming to people who were once unable to enjoy them the same way that most of us do.

4A Games detailed Metro Exodus Adaptive Controller support in a blog post on the franchise's official website. When the controller is detected, a special menu will pop up that will allow players to rebind the keys however they like. This is made easier by an in-game image popping up showing the Adaptive Controller. This should allow you to understand which buttons are being mapped where just as if you had used a standard Xbox controller. Finally, one more addition has been put into the game for ease of access. A link to the Xbox Accessories app is now contained within the game's Controller Options menu. This should make it a snap to go from the game into the Accessories app and save players a bit of hassle with using the Metro Exodus Adaptive Controller features.

You can play Metro Exodus with the Xbox Adaptive Controller right now. If you'd like to get one of these controllers for yourself, you can pick it up from Microsoft for the price of $99.99 or your regional equivalent. You can grab Metro Exodus for the Xbox at the Microsoft Store or pick up the PC version via the Epic Games Store.
