Metal Gear Survive is getting a Metal Gear Solid 3 themed event next week. The event begins April 10 and will run through until April 24 offering up a brand new co-op experience based on the iconic espionage classic. We don’t have the full details regarding what the mission will entail, but we do know that it will be called “The Encounter 1964”.

We also have a list of the rewards up for grabs as part of the Metal Gear Solid 3 event, including the following:

  • Accessory: Crocodile Cap
  • Accessory: Fatigues – Naked Snake
  • Accessory: Jumpsuit – EVA
  • Accessory: Ocelot Unit Beret
  • Accessory: Ocelot Unit Beret with Balaclava

  • Cassette Tape: “Takin’ On The Shagohod”

The crocodile cap is probably the most recognizable piece of Metal Gear Solid 3 apparel on offer, as well as the “Takin’ On the Shagohod” theme which can be acquired as a cassette tape. Players will earn Battle Points as they play through the event, allowing them to unlock new items and gear.

Metal Gear Survive is the base-building survival game which tasks players with teaming up in order to complete mission-based objectives. It blends elements of horde mode gameplay with crafting and looting mechanics, and is set in an alternate dimension. Soldiers positioned on Mother Base from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain are sucked through a wormhole into a nightmare world filled with harsh storms and crystal-headed zombies.
