Part three of the Pokemon mini-series on Meltan, The Two Professors, has been released this morning with even more news about the mysterious Pokemon Meltan that appeared at the end of last month's Pokemon Go community day. If you want to read up on the previous part you can here.

Professor Willow, now in charge of the mysterious box, that we learned Pokemon Go players will get for transferring Pokemon from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Let's Go, has been creating more and more Meltan to research them. It turns out that not only do they assimilate with metal but they also try to combine with one another. After stating this the Meltan, aside from one, all combined together to become Melmetal.

In Pokemon Go to evolve a Meltan into a Melmetal it will require you to collect 400 Meltan candy. This means that using the box to spawn Meltan around the player in Pokemon Go will become an integral part of getting Melmetal. We still don't know how many Meltan will spawn each time you're able to open the box, but to get 400 Meltan Candy will require you to catch 134 Meltan. This process could be sped up using berries or rare candies. Melmetal will also have the special attack Double Iron Bash. The trailer ends with an image of the box with an interesting message:

The secret behind Meltan and Melmetal has been solved by two brilliant professors. Perhaps the day is near when Meltan will pay you a visit, too...
This message is either alluding to next month's release of the Pokemon Let's Go games for the Nintendo Switch, or to the Meltan Special Research Task that was announced.

If you're too excited to wait to play more Pokemon Go then there's a Halloween event that began yesterday with new cosmetics, Pokemon to catch, raid bosses, and a temporary Special Research Task.

What do you think of Melmetal? Do you think 400 candy is excessive? Are you looking forward to a larger storage capacity?
