Moto Racing creator Zordix Racing has announced its newest project. Overpass is a realistic off-road racing sim coming to PC and consoles in October 2019.

Overpass sees players taking control of buggies and quad bikes, racing across extreme tracks and dangerous terrain. The sim, which Zordix describes as "unique in its genre", pits players against technical obstacle courses across various wilderness-set tracks. It'll come complete with a single-player Career mode and a multiplayer mode. Zordix Racing hasn't divulged the exact nature of the latter, but it does say multiplayer in Overpass will involve "[posting] the best times and [showing] that you are truly the master of off-roading". Check out the launch trailer for Overpass below:

The trailer shows off the game's diverse track design and faithful, realistic gameplay. Zordix Racing says Overpass will boast a realistic physics engine that requires players to keep close control of their vehicle. The game will contain official reproductions of buggies and quads from well-known brands like Yamaha, Suzuki, and Arctic Cat. Players will be able to customize and control important vehicular aspects like differential locking, 2- or 4-wheel drive, and different transmission types. Career mode will involve managing vehicles and choosing the right one for each situation to win events and attract sponsors. Petrolheads and off-road fanatics should keep a close eye on this one.

Zordix Racing is a game development studio based in Sweden. The studio's previous projects include Aqua Moto Racing Utopia, Snow Moto Racing Freedom, and Valet Parking 1989. Publishing duties on Overpass are being handled by French company Bigben Interactive, whose previous publishing credits include V-Rally 4 and the WRC series. Overpass will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in October 2019. We don't know a specific date yet, so we'll keep you posted.
